The platform leverages advanced AI (OpenAI API) to understand user queries, provide highly relevant answers, and continuously learn and improve its knowledge retrieval, making it ideal for customer support, internal documentation, and educational resources.
Business Problem
Organizations struggled with managing vast amounts of unstructured information, inefficient search capabilities, outdated content, and difficulties in ensuring users found the right answers quickly. This led to increased support costs, frustrated users, and a drain on expert resources.
Solution
Developed a dynamic AI Knowledge Base using Laravel, integrating with OpenAI API for natural language processing (NLP) and semantic search. Implemented automated content categorization, version control, and real-time feedback mechanisms. Utilized Elasticsearch for lightning-fast search capabilities and Spatie Media Library for rich media content.
Architecture
Micro-service oriented architecture with Content Management System, AI Search & Recommendation Engine (Elasticsearch, OpenAI API), Version Control, User Feedback Module, and Analytics. Employs S3 for scalable storage of documents and media. Uses Laravel Horizon for processing content indexing and AI model updates. Integrates with help desk and CRM systems for a unified support experience.
Challenges
Training AI models to accurately interpret diverse user queries and context, effectively managing versioning for constantly evolving knowledge articles, ensuring data privacy for proprietary information, integrating seamlessly with existing content sources, and providing a scalable architecture for millions of documents and queries.
Performance Optimizations
Implemented Elasticsearch for semantic search and fuzzy matching across all knowledge articles, utilized Redis for caching AI model responses and popular search queries, optimized database queries for content retrieval and version history, and employed CDN for faster delivery of multimedia content and documents.
